Winter in U.S.A

It was in December 2017, my family and I went to one of my dream country for a vacation and of course I was thrilled to finally go to the country I wanted to go to the most and as expected; U.S.A, you did awesome and expectations was met. :)

We went to a few states and all of them were lovely! From New Jersey, New York City that never sleeps; ever literally, Washington DC, Maryland to Pennsylvania to see the most beautiful nature I’ve ever seen in my entire life! We stayed for 3 whole weeks where we got to celebrate Christmas and New Years’ Eve in the states which is a miracle and also a first for my family and I and yes, of course it was amaze-balls for me as I felt like I got to expand my field of vision and also got to had the most amazing opportunity to see the other side of the world at an age of 19 so it was a ‘travel goals’ for me.

We landed at night at JFK International Airport after a whole 15 hours of doing nothing other than sleeping and eating in the airplane and guess what; that 15 hours was after we got transmitted to GuangZhou from KL which was about 4 to 5 hours (if I am not mistaken lol) long of flight. It was tiring but it was worth it in many ways to me. We had our jet lag experiences and it was not fun to be honest; being all sluggish in the afternoon and awake at night, but some way and somehow we managed to overcome it as we still continue with our itinerary.

We went to NYC the first few days of our journey as we walked around Times Square, World Trade Centre, Bryant Park and even 5th Avenue which was filled with many lights coming from branded shops and lights I mean the shiny reflections of the merchandises. During our walks, we visited M&Ms which was COLORFULLY AMAZING and we also got to try one of the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted so far. We even got to visit the Pier 84 which was a museum filled with aircraft in the past at the rooftop and also submarines that was used in the past historical times. Not only that, we got to visit the Brooklyn Bridge which was on the first day of our walking journey and also not forgetting the Statue of Liberty which is obviously a must go like how can you not go there when you visit America right? I’ve shot some few decent photographs of course and here are some of my favorite ones:

Brooklyn Bridge from afar cause we were on the way.
Brooklyn Bridge when we reached.
Manhattan Bridge; taken at Brooklyn Bridge.
The ever busy street of NYC.
New York's Times Square
World Trades Center; taken at the 911 Memorial
Statue of Liberty
This was taken at the Statue of Liberty, the pigeon somehow stood there and I thought it was unique so here's an American Pigeon for you! ;)

After all of the walking, we went to our aunt’s place to stay and we also had some delicious Japanese food at Ota-Ya Japanese Restaurant located at Pennsylvania which is owned by my aunt’s sister. The sushi... ESPECIALLY THE SALMON! It was scrumptious!!! I mean, how can they make such delicious sushi?! It was an amazing experience gained basically as I savor every dishes slowly.

The sushi boat that is filled with many assorted types of sushi.
The sushi pizza which is delicious! A must-try!!

Did I mentioned Niagara Falls? YES I DID! It was freezing cold where we couldn’t even take photos with our iPhone properly cause we can’t feel our fingers; especially the thumb. But it was worth getting to see the wonderful nature of Niagara Falls and I got cold water droplets splashing on my face too during the day visit of Niagara Falls. I think our journey to Niagara Falls was the journey that we got to experience snow for our very first time and I of course got a few shots of the white snow and my camera and also my eyes are very very satisfied with having piles of snow around us.

Maryland and Washington DC was our next state that we got to go to where it’s filled with many historical and art museums including the White House which we only got to see from afar unfortunately but at least we got to see it right? :) We visited some of the museums and I only can remember some of them which was Hirshhorn Museum, Money Printing and Engraving Museum where Money is made (my parents and relatives were excited for that hahaha), Library of Congress, The International Spy Museum (yes, James Bond 007.), and many more. On our way back to our Aunt’s house, we also got to visit Baltimore and had dinner there. I was able to take some pretty pictures during the sunny cold day of our journey in Washington DC and here are some:

The White House
The Supreme Court. We did not went to this but we went the one beside it - Library of Congress.
Library of Congress. TBH, this will give me motivation to study if i was put there to study lol.
This was taken at Hirshhorn Museum; basically it was a room filled with idk how many papers but it was kind of minimalist so I took a shot of it.
A random couple spotted by me sitting around the piles of blank papers on the floor. I felt it represents 'Simple Love yet Lovely' kind of feel so I took a shot of them secretly hahaha.
Also taken at some part of the place in Hirshhorn Museum. Model? My twin sis woots! :)

Nearing our third week, we went to fashion outlets to shop for some clothes and shoes basically. One of the relaxing days, we got to visit the Atlantic City filled with Casinos which it was my first time walking into the casino openly and it was cold too over at Atlantic City as we covered ourselves with layers of clothes and a winter jacket or coat zipping up to our neck. Some of the remaining days we got to go for shopping again and also have gatherings with our relatives again too. We had seen snow in New Jersey too and also have taken a few snow shots. After the fun but freezing cold days in America, we had to bid farewell as we went back to reality; KL.

It was taken outside my aunt's house; in the middle of the road. It was snowing and I had to take the chance to take as many as I can so here is one of my favorite snowing pictures!

It was an amazing experience gained from this trip, we got to visit so many places in three weeks and had lovely meet ups with our relatives over meals and drinks as we shared our moments together with love. I do hope I can visit again someday but maybe in different season like autumn or spring hehe.
American Flag to end the picture viewing for all you readers! ;) More in VSCO and Instagram (@shannonpsl).
